Once again, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (IZfG) is organising its annual research colloquium Gender im Fokus (Gender in Focus) as a university-wide, interdisciplinary forum for exchange that aims to help projects in the field of gender studies to achieve greater visibility and thus improve networking among researchers.

The colloquium is aimed at anyone who is addressing gender and sexuality within the context of their research or study projects, or who works with methods from gender, queer and trans studies. We invite members of the university from all faculties and status groups who would like to present their current work projects (e.g. BA, StEx and MA dissertations) or research projects (e.g. theses, postdoc projects, third-party funding applications, essays) in a collegial setting. 

Each project presentation is scheduled to last 15 to 20 minutes with sufficient time for subsequent questions and discussion. The half-day event will take place on 26 May 2025 at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg. (In the winter semester, there is an additional, full-day colloquium date, which marks the beginning of a new event cycle).

Proposals for presentations in the form of a one-page outline (type of project, research topic, and central questions) can be submitted by email to izentrum@uni-greifswald.de by 1 March 2025.
